Fashion Week Special: From Boutique to Moroccan Lounge
The ever so fabulous downtown Austin boutique, Peyton’s Place, approached Posey with the task of transforming the shop into a Moroccan Lounge. Peyton’s Place teamed up with the Austin based swimsuit label, Bandita Couture, a to host an entertainment-packed cocktail party for Austin’s Fashion Week. With my recent return from Marrakech, I could not have been more thrilled!
In order to achieve our Moroccan look, I let the rich, vibrant colors of the culture serve as our inspiration. We constructed a simplified “tent” structure, a lounge sofa complete with authentic Moroccan fabrics, and adorned the shop with various lamps and “treasures” acquired on my trip. The outcome was a wonderful feminine-Moroccan feel. Now if only we could have a found a way to get that marvelous spice aroma of the sooks incorporated into the store. . .
