Clara + Daniel

Lately, over at Posey, we have been seeing a return to femininity. Think pale pinks, whites, peaches and soft, romantic florals. This Laguna Gloria wedding is no exception. Posey is excited to share a few shots from Clara and Daniel’s romantic, garden chic wedding!

We would like to give a special thanks to Red Fly Photography for sharing these beautiful images of Clara and Daniel’s special day with us!

This is one of our favorite table pieces. It is a composite arrangement composed of antique hydrangeas, tulips and peonies.

Keeping the idea of femininity in mind, the other table arrangements were a mix of antique hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus, berries, stock, dusty miller and tea roses in shades of green, light pinks, and creams resting atop antique, glass cake plates.

The Bridal bouquet was stunning and composed of hydrangeas, garden roses, gardenias, peonies, freesia, ranunculus, tulips and astilbes mixed with one of Posey’s all time favorites, Dusty Miller. Gorgeous!

The bridesmaids carried petite garden style bouquets in creams and blushes with a crown of berries and scented geranium leaf. A perfect compliment to the garden setting and pale pink dresses!

The cake was simply decorated with gardenia blooms.

Thanks to Clara and Daniel for letting us be a part of your special day! Congrats!

Sara + Steven

This past spring Posey had the pleasure of being apart of Sara + Steven’s big day at Mercury Hall here in South Austin.  Mercury Hall is one of our favorite venues, and Gia with Red Fly Photography captured it perfectly.

For Sara’s bouquet, she wanted to keep it soft and elegant in all whites.   Her bouquet was composed of hydrangeas, peonies, gardenias, anemones and tulips.   The handle was tied with ivory ribbon and fastened with one of Sara’s vintage broaches and rings as mementos.

Sara wanted her flowers to be simple, feminine and elegant in primarily shades of whites with pops of yellow.  She loves succulents but didn’t want them everywhere, so Posey was able to incorporate them into some accent pieces on the bar.

Steven’s boutonniere was simple and classic with a modern twist– white ranunculus with an accent of craspedia!

And just because I absolutely love how Gia used the craspedia with their rings, here’s their ring shot!

Congratulations!!

Kelly + Jacob

As we wrap up 2011 Posey wanted to continue to show off some of our fabulous weddings from the last year.  This one was definitely a Posey favorite because of the fun, bright colors and laid-back style.

Kelly + Jacob got married at The Allen House in downtown Austin.  It’s such a fun venue that’s tucked away in the neighborhoods that surround downtown.  Kelly’s colors were oranges, yellows, whites and greens.  She loved ranunculus, roses, hydrangeas and succulents which all came together perfectly!

For their centerpieces Posey used wooden boxes with low, lush florals including garden roses, tea roses, tulips, peonies, hydrangeas and succulents with accents of eucalyptus berries and greenery.  The apricot parrot tulips are my absolute favorite!

Their cake was super fun and Posey decorated it with ranunculus, craspedia and succulents!

The doorway  and walkway leading to The Allen House was accented with suspended mason jars accented with coral charm peonies (another one of my all time favorite flowers!) and planted succulents.

Kelly’s bouquet was composed of primarily white blooms with accents of oranges and greens.  For her bouquet Posey incorporated hydrangeas, garden roses, peonies, freesia, tulips and cymbidium orchid blooms.

The bridesmaid’s bouquets were more colorful and composed of hydrangeas, ranunculus, freesia, roses, tulips and succulents and tied off with a festive orange and white stripped ribbon.

To compliment the bouquets, Posey used orange ranunculus for the men’s boutonnieres.  Don’t those men look fabulous!?

Hanging from every other chair down the center aisle was a pomander composed of white daises hung from complimenting orange and white stripped ribbon.

Posey had such a great time working with Kelly + Jacob on their wedding!  A huge thanks to BZ Events for coordinating the festive affair and Sweet Caroline Photography for the stunning images!!

Kristen + Jordan

How the fall has flown!!

This past summer Posey had the pleasure of working with Kristen + Jordan on their stunning wedding at the Four Seasons here in Austin.  Bethany with 36th Street Events did a fantastic job bringing everything together.  We’re so excited (and embarrassed that’s it’s taken so long!!) to share the photos from this stunning wedding.  Thanks to Studio563 for these photos!

Kristen and Jordan had a custom made aisle runner with their gorgeous monogram.  At every other row, Posey placed a tall cylinder with large white hydrangeas resting atop the vase.

The ceremony took place in under a custom, solid floral chuppah.  The florals in the chuppah included hydrangeas, roses, peonies, orchids and stock.  It looked, and smelled, absolutely divine!

Kristen’s bouquet was composed of solid white florals and included garden roses, sweet peas, gardenias, and lily of the valley.   The men’s solid lily of the valley boutonnieres complimented her bouquet nicely.

In order to break up the space in the main ballroom Posey provided three different centerpieces for the tables.  The tall pieces were displayed on these beautiful bell-shaped vases and were composed of hydrangeas, roses, and stock with accents of garden greens and pussy willow.

The second dining set was a composite consisting of three mono-floral arrangements with florals including hydrangeas, peonies and roses.

The final centerpiece was a low, lush display composed of hydrangeas, peonies, roses, stock, sweet peas and tulips.

All the centerpieces were encircled by open flame taper candles as well as votives.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding is the cake, and Kristen and Jordan’s cakes were amazing!

Congratulations to the happy couple!! Posey hopes California is treating you well as newlyweds!

Evelyn+Matt: A garden wedding to remember!

This past November Posey Floral and Event Design collaborated with Jennifer’s Gardens to create this magical wedding for Evelyn + Matt.  The ceremony was held in the amazingly beautiful St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in downtown San Antonio and the reception took place at Evelyn’s parent’s home in Alamo Heights.  The setting and the weather could not have been more beautiful for such a fun and romantic wedding.

David Sixt Photography took the photos of the wedding and captured everything perfectly!  The centerpieces, which ran down the length of the tables, were composed of a variety of flowers in shades of creams, ivories, rust and peaches with pops of corals.  The flowers included hydrangeas, peonies, garden roses, tulips, seed pods, orchids and even pears!

And for your viewing pleasure, below are some additional shots that Posey captured before the party started!

Last, but definitely not least, the entry archway, accented with magnolia garland, garden roses, hydrangeas, phaleanopsis orchid sprays and dusty miller, created to welcome guests into the reception!

Thanks to Evelyn and Matt for allowing us to be apart of such a special day!  Congratulations!!

Jennie + Jake

Look at that couple! Is that the look of Love or what?! Congrats to Jennie and Jake who tied the knot at the beautiful Austin 71. As friend’s of Posey, we could not have been more thrilled to be a part of Jennie and Jake’s special day! Jennie and her Mom have the best taste and it really got us fired up about designing this amazing event!

Feast your eyes upon these gorgeous images compliments of Sweet Caroline Photography. Thanks Caroline!

The Bride craved a mix of vintage, romantic, shabby chic and natural in a color palette of whites, greens and browns.

Natural elements can be found throughout the decor. Think: textured woods, mosses, seedpods, apples, pears, and branches. Add these elements to tons of candle light, and touches of mercury glass, and you get this awesome result!

Jake (the Groom) is a serious outdoorsman! In honor of this, his sweet Bride had a few surprises up her sleeve for manly inspired decor that even the manliest of manliest could enjoy! Who says flowers can’t be masculine! That’s real Texas Pecan wood by the way. Gotta love it!

All complete with a “petal-free” boutonniere.

Look at those beauties below! We love you guys! Congrats Jennie and Jake!

A Family Affair in Breckenridge

There are few things in life I love more than the mountains- my sister is one of them!  Imagine how thrilled I was to combine my love for the mountains, all things flowers and my sister’s wedding in Breckenridge, CO! Get ready to feast upon this wilderness destination wedding!

Let me introduce you. Above are Katy and Ryan. They are such a fun loving, eco-friendly couple. My idea was to capture their love for each other, love of nature and all things local into their weekend wedding affair.

My sister gave me little direction for her bouquet other than ” I love succulents!”. I put this bouquet together with succulents from Texas (our home state), a fresh flowers from the local market, mixed with grasses, seed pods, herbs and berries that I foraged from their garden and the surrounding area. The bouquet was then finished off with a vintage handkerchief of our Grandmothers. Clearly she loved it- Look at that smile!

Katy and Ryan kept the affair intimate (22 guests)! They also kept their vendors local, and by local, I mean LOCAL! I was in charge or all things floral, decor, and coordinating. Ryan’s brother was in charge of cooking (he is a chef back east), their friend Francie led the ceremony, and the amazing photos were taken by their Boulder comrade, Crystal Vaccaro.

The seating was family style and consisted of one long table nestled in the backdrop of the surrounding forest. The bright citrus hues really popped against all of the green.

For dessert we feasted on fresh fruit pies from Shamane’s Bake Shoppe in Boulder.

It gets even better- Two beverages of choice: Creeping Charlie home brew by the Groom (named after his favorite backyard weed), and Austin’s Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka and lemonade.

Loved the guestbook! It was a coffee table book with photos of Breckenridge. The guests signed right on the pages and now the book rests happily on the couple’s coffee table.

And of course we cannot forget our favorite furry guests: Abby and Hugo dressed to impress!

I love this picture of all the Camp Mystic girls, Kate, Me, Katy and Daphne. Katy is not only in her wedding dress, but ready for Vespers! Just kidding- Katy you look STUNNING!

We had such a blast at this wedding and are completely in love with all the personal details! Congrats to Katy and Ryan!

The End!
