Flowers + Cocktails!

Who doesn’t love flowers and cocktails?? And the two together couldn’t be a better pair!

Earlier this week Posey hosted it’s first Flowers + Cocktails class and had a blast with all the ladies who attended. Patrick, our fabulous bartender from Quality Promotions of Texas, put together a delicious Springtini for the ladies while the Posey girls taught the tricks to making a fabulous grouped Easter arrangement. Thanks to Apothecary for providing the party with some delicious bites!

Hitched In Hunt

Yay! One of Posey’s very own, Madeleine, got hitched this past fall! When Madeleine and Kyle met in Hunt, sparks flew. They found it only appropriate to get married at the groom’s family riverfront property in Hunt. Quite. Quaint. Romantic. Very fitting for these two. The wedding palette was focused around Madeleine’s favorite flower- The Coral Charm Peony. Enjoy!

Fall Romance

Last October Posey was honored to be a part of this Brooklyn based duo’s wedding in Wimberley, Texas. Jane wore a stunning red dress in the style of a traditional Chinese qipao. Posey made this beautiful, natural bouquet to compliment. Thanks to InTandem Photography for sharing these lovely images with us. Hope you enjoy the rich, fall colors as much as we did!

True Romance at The Houstonian

This past summer Posey had the wonderful opportunity to assist in creating this beautiful wedding at the Houstonian. The event was coordinated by Mary Beth Events, and was nothing less than spectacular. Thanks so much to Cameron + Kelly Studio for their breathtaking images of one of our favorite Houston weddings!

The accents of mercury glass with purple florals looked perfect against the periwinkle and white surroundings.

Four Season’s Stunner

Elegant. Romantic. Classic. Three words to sum up this beautiful wedding that Posey was honored to partake in.

The bride’s bouquet was flush with whites, accented by soft pink Roses and Peonies. The reception was held in a grand ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel, where soft lighting washed and cascaded the walls. Large arrangements full of hydrangea, stock, peonies roses, lilies and gold berries flowed from beautiful glass vases.

We were in total love with the unexpected pop of the awesome sequin linens from La Tavola.

Nancy + Robert

Meet Nancy and Robert! A great couple that Posey had the pleasure to work with, so great that their wedding was published in D Weddings. Amongst their family and close friends they were wed and celebrated the night away out at the families’ ranch in the Hill Country. The flowers were full of romance, with Nancy’s bouquet composed of all white peonies. Her bridesmaids stood by her side with bouquets that were light and whimsical, white with pops of yellow to enhance the country side’s yellow wildflower blooms. Thanks to Andrea Polito photography for all the beautiful images!

Dinner on the Putting Green? Why not?

Recently, Posey had the opportunity to style a fantasy dinner on the putting green at the lovely Horseshoe Bay Resort. Always needing an excuse to use my favorite (borrowed) Old Avesbury China from Royal Crown Derby , we decided to theme the table around the China’s pattern and color palette. Basically, we turned the China into a floral arrangement!

We complimented the old world style floral arrangements with a natural linen from Marquee Rentals, and added a pop of pizzaz with a terra cotta napkin. The hints of metallic also helped to create a magical dining experience. Next time, invite us! Please?

Summer + Brandon

I am in total LOVE with this wedding and am so excited to share it! I cannot get over the whimsy-ness, attention to detail, and Summer’s (the Bride) fun summer (the season) color palette! A big thanks to The Simplifiers for pulling this all together, and of course Christina Carroll Photography for the amazing images! Enjoy.

The ombre turquoise walls of the fabulous Blanton Museum provided the perfect color backdrop to the summer citrus floral palette. Posey used a mix of peonies, garden roses, cymbidium orchids, ranunculus, stock, tulips, dahlias and seasonal blooms to keep in line with the cheery colors.
